Ava Bahari was born on November 10th, 1996 in Gothenburg, Sweden. At the age of eight she appeared for the first time as soloist in the Gothenburg Concert Hall. Since then, Ava has given many concerts with orchestras including the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Malmö Symphony orchestra, Borås Symphony Orchestra and Jönköpings Sinfonietta. She has given numerous concerts in countries such as Germany, Holland, England, Norway, Denmark, the US and Russia. Ava has won prizes in a number of music competitions both in Sweden and abroad, inclucing the Öresundssolist Competition in Copenhagen and Polstjärnepriset and Ljunggrenska Competition. She was also a semifinalist at the Menuhin Competition, Cooper International Violin Competition, Leipizer Violin Competition.
Since age 13, Ava has been an active soloist and chamber musicians in festivals like Båstads Chamber Music Festival and the Copenhagen Summer Festival, Gotland Chamber Music Festival, Aurora Chamber Music Festival and the International Holland Music Sessions. She has participated in masterclasses with Boris Kuschnir, Pavel Vernikov, Midori, Pierre Amoyal and Gerhard Schulz among others. Ava has been awarded several culturalprizes and Scholarships from The Royal Society of Arts and Sciences in Gothenburg and Guido Vecchis Scholarship. After graduating with honors from the science program at Hvitfeldtska High School, Ava is currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Kolja Blacher.
