Luis Barbe Espinosa began his musical studies in 2012 in Florida Uruguay in the System of Children’s and Youth Orchestras of Uruguay. Later he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Sodre and is also invited to play with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uruguay and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Montevideo.
In 2016 Luis won a position to study at the High Institute of Arte of Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires-Argentina, where in December of 2017 he got his graduation. In his time in Argentina, he had the opportunity to be invited to play along with the National Orchestra of Argentina, Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires and others.
In 2018 Luis Barbe decided to continue his studies in Germany, more precisely in the city of Berlin. He took classes with renowned hornists such as Stefan Dohr, Sarah Willis, Stefan Jezierski, Fergus McWilliam, Marie Luise Neunecker, Eric Terrwilliger, Christian Lampert, Jörg Brückner, Markus Maskuniitty, Sebastian Posh, Markus Bruggaier, among others. From the beginning of 2018 to the present, Luis is a student of Stefan De Levas Jezierski.  Currently a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
He participated in numerous music festivals as Orchestra of the Americas (2017), Teatro del Lago Festival Chile (2017), Social International Community Orchestra Seoul-Korea (2017), Neue Philharmonie München Germany (2018), Animato Philharmonic Orchestra, Switzerland (2019), Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie Germany (2018,2019).
Luis has played in prestigious theaters such as the Philharmonie de Berlin (Germany), Konzerthaus Berlin (Germany), Herkulessaal München (Germany), Bayreuth Festspielhaus (Germany), Jenaer Philharmonie Volkshaus (Germany), Gewandhaus (Germany), Wiener Konzerthaus (Austria), Reduta Bratislava (Slovakia), Festspielhaus (Austria), Liszt Academy Hall (Hungry), Kennedy Center (USA), New Word Center (USA), Walt Disney Concert Hall (USA), Sejong Center (South Korea), Cité de la Musique et de la Danse (Francia), Teatro Colón (Argentina), Auditorio Nacional de la Música (España), among others.  He has recorded two CDs at Bayerischer Rundfunk with the International Jungle Orchesterakademie the Symphonies number 4 and 5 of Anton Bruckner.
