Matteo Mizera started the study of violin under the guidance of Luciana Hazan at the age of 9. He began studying viola with Luca Sanzò at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia Rome. Matteo is recently graduated in Master in Viola performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London) with the violist Rachel Roberts, supported by a full scholarship from The Leverhulme Trust. Actually, Matteo is focusing on chamber music playing at the courses in the Accademia di Santa Cecilia (Rome). Matteo is also one of the young artist of the Rome Chamber Music Festival 2019 and Accademia dei Cameristi, where he will have to occasion to play with the violist and pedagogue Bruno Giuranna. He attended masterclasses and courses with well known violists like: Bruno Giuranna, Garth Knox, Paul Coletti, Maxim Rysanov, Nils Mönkemeyer, Hartmut Rohde, Danusha Waskiewicz, Danilo Rossi, Ettore Causa, Simonide Braconi, Raffaele Mallozzi, Simone Briatore and Simon Rowland Jones. Matteo is the violist of the Caravaggio Piano Quartet, founded in the late 2017. The quartet had his debut at the prestigious hall Jardí dels Tarongers in Barcelona, where they had an acclaimed success from public and critic. The concert was sponsorized by a recording and an interview with Radio Catalunya. Recently winners of the Premio during the Festival delle Nazioni in Italy. He played in the: London Symphony Orchestra, LaVerdi Symphony Orchestra of Milan, Orchestra Filarmonica di Bologna, Aurora Chamber Music Festival Orchestra, Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico, Roma Tre Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, Filarmonica di Benevento, JuniOrchestra Advanced (Academy of St.Cecilia Youth Orchestra), Gstaad Menuhin Festival Jugendorchesterwoche (2010), Young Talent Orchestra EY, Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra, Italian Youth Orchestra (OGI), Academy of Orchestra Mozart, Silk Street Sinfonia, Melos Sinfonia and Archi di Roma.
