Orsolya Soós was born in Szombathely (Hungary) in June 1992. She already achieved a first price at 8 years old in a national competiotion called: Sistrum Savariensis Violin Competitions in 2000.
She also won the first price at the following competitions: National Alba Regia Chamber Music (2004); Competition National Béla Bartók Violin-duo Competition; National Music School Violin-duo Competition in Budapest (2006); Tibor Varga Academy Competition (2012-2013). She also achieved an honourable mention as a finalist at the National János Koncz Violin Competiton and a gold certificate at Chamber Music Competition String Quartet in Debrecen (Hungary).
She started her BA classic violin studies in Győr and after in Budapest taught by Katalin Kokas, Barnabás Kelemen and Gábor Csalogh. She attended many masterclasses and the last summer and participated in the Bergen Holland Music session. She was playing with Márta Gulyás, Gábor Farkas and Péter Bársony. She played solo with the Anima Musicae and with the Solti György Chamber Orchestra.
She finished her artist of the violin studies in the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy in 2017 with first-class honours, taught by Zsófia Környei and Ádám Banda. In her master studies she spent a semester in Copenhagen in the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Erasmus scholarship.
She is playing in many orchestras in Budapest: National Symphonic Orchestra, Budapest strings and Concerto Budapest.
